One Step Closer: Oath Ceremony

Once approved, USCIS will mail you details about your Oath Ceremony, including the date, time and location of where you will take the Oath of Allegiance

Please note that some USCIS Field Offices offer the option of attending the Oath Ceremony that same day as you naturalization interview.

After taking the oath, you will receive a Certificate of Naturalization and you will officially be a U.S. citizen.

With this certificate, you can register to vote in order to participate in American democracy!
