After Chase and I founded his organization, he graduated in 2025 and passed the leadership of 1 Citizen at a Time to myself and two other NYC high school students. We didn’t just keep it running, we expanded the mission and helped positively impact more people. What started as one-on-one citizenship tutoring became a broader civic engagement effort, adding voter pre-registration events for 16- and 17-year-olds across their schools.
